SuiteSuite is a passion project and public self-education experiment where I share my excitement about exploring classical music. I started suite after doing like minded music for a couple years and realizing that I was covering the same stuff a ton of other prescient bloggers were covering. At the same time I was becoming more and more intrigued by classical and started going down that rabbit hole. There are not nearly as many resources for engaging with classical music culture. The more I’ve been talking to folks in the classical milieu, the more I’m understanding that there is a legitimate concern over whether or not classical music is going to die out. That would be an absolute travesty. As a long term personal goal I would love to find ways to bridge the gap between classically trained musicians and non-classically trained musicians, with a particular emphasis on remix culture and commissioning new works. When I cover performances I also take pictures of some of the more awesome guests and may or may not be working on a ‘people who like classical music’ project.
