IndiaI traveled through Calcutta, Dehli and the foothills of the Himalayas with Greenlight, visiting factories, farmers and learning about how we produce our clothing. I found India fascinating, the worlds largest democracy going through tremendous growth and dealing with major issues of infrastructure, education and a staggering economic divide. The streets and culture are vibrant in every sense. I was there during Anna Hazare’s hunger strike to reform corruption laws and was amazed by the non-violent protest and direct impact it had on legislature. There was round the the clock coverage and a powerful feeling of national solidarity.
