In the early and mid 2010s and I traveled extensively around the United States with a Canon 5d Mark II and took many portraits of Americans. It was an education of sorts and I had many conversations along the way. I would sometimes seek out marginal and countercultural groups. us is also from this period and there are many unedited images in my archives as well. I have ambivalent feelings about this kind of practice and moved away from it towards other kinds of image and archive making, though the experience was educational and I imagine the work could be interesting to different people and in different times.
