I’ve been working with photographer Ilka Hartmann over the last several years on her archive. The focus over this period has been on the distinctive history of our shared home. I’m unsure the direction this work will take but it’s been a pleasure developing a friendship. The breadth of the project continues to expand and surprise. Many of these images have never been printed and it feels urgent to scan and preserve this body of work. I imagine it will be an ongoing project throughout the coming years.
